Mother's Day DIY + Happy Friday

Mother's Day is this Sunday!  Have you all planned out the itinerary yet?  Bought the flowers, gifts or cards to show her how grateful you are for your existence?  If not, it's still not too late.  You can still buy a simple card from Duane Reade and tell her how much you love her.  Or if you're up for a challenge of making something to show her, that's even better!  Below are some great simple DIYs that I've found during the week.

1. Flowers are the next girl's best friend.  Other than diamonds, I don't think any woman would pass a self-made flower bouquet.  You can go to mywedding.com for complete instructions.  It'll only cost you $35, but seeing the reaction on your mom's face will be priceless!

2.  Like I said, flowers are the next girl's best friend.  This may require a bit more time to make than the fresh flower bouquet.  However, this felt dahlia flower brooch will last forever(assuming it's well-kept).  Click here to view complete instructions on how to make one.

 3.  What can I say?  I love flowers for Mother's Day.  Click here for complete instructions on how to make this plantable seeded paper flower.

4.  How about making a greeting card yourself(finally something other than flowers)?  As much as we love to read through thousands of cards to find the best one, making one yourself will definitely put a smile on her face.  For complete instructions on making a mother's day greeting card, go to My Little Hen.  It's so simple, and you'll have fun too!  :-)

That's all for now.  I hope this roundup is inspiring.  I wish you all a happy Friday. Enjoy Mother's day this Sunday!

Sneak Peek: LIN Jewelry Collection

This week went by so fast but I'm not complaining because I love the longer and warmer days; a pleasant reminder that summer is here!

Talking about summer, in May, Coquese will debut amazing, I mean breathe-taking, unique pieces from the talented jewelry designer, LIN. LIN’s unique sense of style is inspired by her love for “integrating different but complementing components” to invoke originality, creativity and of course, eye-catching elegance. Her pieces are made from good quality material and they are also affordable. Here is a sneak peak of some of her gorgeous earrings.
LIN Earring Set 1
Aint these earrings just beautiful? This "Set 1" comes in various colors too!  You can get one for each day of  week.

LIN Earring Set 2
"Set 2", the dangling heart-shaped crystal earrings are my favorite. I'll definitely wear those on a dinner date with my hubby. I'm sure he'll fall in love with me all over again J  OK, just kidding.

Anyway, what kind of outfit would you wear these earrings with? I'd love to know.

In the meantime, have a great weekend!

All things bunny

{ top image via wrapables; bottom image via delish }
Easter Sunday is two weeks away.  And Hop, a movie celebrating Easter by bring the Easter Bunny to life  has grossed over $37 million in the box office in just one week!  Equally amusing, is that this is the year of Rabbit according to the Chinese calendar.  Occupying the 4th position in the Chinese Zodiac, the Rabbit symbolizes such character traits as creativity, compassion, and sensitivity.

With all these bunny products (see the bunny napkins, candles, toothpick holder, ring and vase), I wonder if the designers were born in the year of Rabbit. They're certainly created by a bunch of creative minds.
Magic bunny toothpick holder by alessi.  Careful, they might hop out of the magical hat with toothpicks.

These products are so adorable.  They're making me want to watch the movie Hop this weekend.   What about you? Are you doing anything fun this weekend? Do you know of interesting bunny products? We'd love to hear about it.

Wishing you all a happy Friday and hopping to more joys this weekend!

Monday Inspirational: Mademoiselle en Fleur

What's more inspirational than to present you, Mademoiselle en Fleur, meaning Miss in Bloom, on a Monday morning with these beautiful photos. The exquisite pictures of the model, Sheila Marquez, clothed in these Spring inspired floral dresses for Marie Claire April 2011 issue were shot by the famous photographer Xevi MuntanĂ©.What I love the most are the gorgeous pair of  earrings she's wearing.  It can go with a simple white t-shirt and a pair of jeans, and yet still have many heads turning and asking, "where did you get that?"
